Kid Dynamite - April 11, 12, 13, 2003 - Philadelphia, P.A.
On April 11th, 2003 the seminal punk outfit Kid Dynamite played the first of three reunion shows in Philadelphia to benefit the Syrentha Savio Endowment. Kid Dynamite was joined by Strike Anywhere (Richmond, VA), The Curse (Philadelphia, PA), Grey Area (Brooklyn, NY) and Trial By Fire (Washington, D.C.); a line-up that brought the house down. While the 1800+ people in attendance were treated to an event that will not be easily forgotten, this was not just a concert, but also an opportunity to educate and inform people about the importance of breast cancer early detection and mammograms. After all was said and done, the audience learned a bit, sweated a lot, and enjoyed one of the best live performances I have seen in many years. And, most importantly, SSE raised over $20,000 for cancer treatment.
