SXSW - March 14th, 2008 - Austin, TX
On March 14th, 2008 Shirts for a Cure and Photo Finish Records hosted a much talked about showcase at this years South By Southwest Music Festival held as usual in Austin, TX. The formative punk band Hot Water Music climbed on a Texas stage for the first time in four years and showed the crowd why they are considered one of the most influential bands of our era. Playing more then 80 minutes of select tunes from their entire career, including one or two new jems from the recently released “Til The Wheels Fall Off”, this was a show for the ages. This day event, hosted at Red 7, also featured a capacity crowd pleasing performances by Paint It Black, The Gaslight Anthem, Anthony Green, Dead To Me, Envy On The Coast and many more. Thanks to all the bands for their constant support of SSE & Shirts for a Cure and for helping make this event momentous. Thanks to Kate Hiltz, Mike Frey, Intern John, Katie Brown, Baltimore’s Patrick Martin, Brigette Smith, Ed Hewitt, Matt Galle, Graham Williams and the whole staff at Red 7.
