Locks of Love
On May 5th Katie Craun cut 12 inches of her hair and donated it to Locks of Love - an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients. We are seeking donations for each inch of hair she cut.

Past SSE Locks of Love donor
On September 16th, 2003 a pair of Syrentha's colleagues, Marcia Applegate and Karin Eanes, donated 22 inches of their own hair (12 from Marcia and 10 from Karin) to the Locks of Love program. Locks of Love is an organization that accepts donated hair to create wigs for young cancer patients.
Marcia and Karin asked people to sponsor them per inch of cut hair, with all the proceeds going to the Syrentha Savio Endowment. They raised just over $1,400 for SSE.
Karin and Marcia were named AOL's "Community Heros of the Month" for October 2003, and were awarded an additional $250 for SSE.
All told, 22 inches of hair netted nearly $1,700 for SSE!
