Plant Sale - May 5, 2007 - Minneapolis, MN
The 2007 SSE Minneapolis Plant Sale is over, and it was a great success! The weather was uncooperative, crowds were small, yet we still managed to exceed our take from last year. We're doing some post-sale sales now to find homes for the remaining plants, but when all is said and done I think we're going to exceed our best previous year by 50%.
The heros of the sale this year, clearly, were our growers: Margie Reller Rock, Ginna and Marv Calvin, Cricket Lehman, Kathy Milner, and Kathy's friends Lisa and Janine. Kathy and Kathleen Murphy supplied our best rummage sale items and a half-acre of chocolate Rice-Krispy bars that were like catnip to rummage salers. And the whole thing would never have happened without the organizing efforts of Christine Lehman.
